Verb To Be

My name is Niurka Yépez, I am 15 years old, I study at the Dr. César Borja Lavayen high school, I am second BGU "B".

I am going to talk about the Verb To Be.


Infinitive of the verb "to be"

It is used to mention an action of a subject at any time. This is used in the company of other verbs.

Ser/ estar - to be.

- I'm a lawyer

- I like being with my cat.


Conjugations of the following tenses:

• I am tall.- Present

• I was very shy.- Past simple.

• We will be a great team.- simple future

• I've been your fan all my life.- Present perfect.

The sentence in the past perfect is always accompanied by another sentence or phrase in the past to give context.

• I had been the team's goalkeeper before I went to college in another city.- Past Perfect.

The future perfect is to talk about something that will happen before another action in the future.

• By the time you get home, I'll have slept.- Future perfect.
